[Isolate-interest] MVM for research

Hi,

According to this page:

"The Multi-Tasking Virtual Machine will soon be released for research
purposes. If you'd like to be notified when it happens let us know."

Which may be old news to everyone else, but it is new news to me.  Would
anyone care to divulge or speculate:
- when?
- what existing Java technology is this based on and/or most like?
- what if any isolate related APIs will this contain?
- what are research purposes?

Best guesses are welcome.  No responses will be considered carved in stone
unless, they are delivered on stone tablets that contain the actual
responses chiseled on their surfaces.
