[Isolate-interest] shared heap between isolates?

I think Bill is properly focused on an important issue. Bill Foote is one of
the most capable Java standards guys I know and a big part of the brainpower
behind the Java TV standardization efforts. Bill is also one of the progenitors
of JSR-121. It would be great if he can help us all see a way for efficient GUI
sharing to be available to isolates so it can become a roadmap item for the EG
to consider.

A warning about the "here and now", however. JSR-121 can't be all things to all
people instantly and forever. It has to be constrained to doing a small number
of things well for the sake of making that available in a hopefully predictable
fashion. At the same time, I'm very familiar with the frustrating problem of
gaining and enjoying, but also having to live with, strict isolation boundaries!

I'm also writing this to explain that when I told Godmar the APIs are still
changeable I left out that changeable is a relative term. It isn't clear the
JSR-121 EG has enough energy left to accomodate big changes and I have to
maintain responsibility for "change socialization" and have some of that in
flight already. We may have to serialize feature delivery for purely practical
reasons. I'll know more about this dimension in a few months and expect that
folks that have watched standards efforts over the years won't be too surprised
by any of this.

And if Bill would like to share history with us I think that would be fun!
This would make up for all that idiot spam that got into the list in the past.

For newcomers: It wasn't until last Spring that Doug Lea and I put any
restrictions on this list and that was just to be able to trap and discard
obvious spam. There is no moderation or filtering of anything sent to this list
unless it's advertising miracle mortgages or the like.
