[Isolate-interest] anti-SPAM change to this list

Friends,
             You've no doubt noticed the SPAM messages to this list and 
I offer my regrets for the annoyance this has caused. I've compared the 
Mailman admin settings for this list to the EG list (which gets no SPAM) 
and determined the secret seems to be restricting postings to list 
members. For the sake of our collective need to avoid mental waste I've 
changed the list settings so that only list members can submit postings. 
What this means, I think, is that non-list members postings will simply 
be held until Doug Lea or I can visit the admin interface and let the 
non-SPAM postings go through. There won't be any filtering except to 
send the commecial garbage we know and hate so well to oblivion. It's 
possible that  haven't got the settings just right and postings by non 
list-member might be rejected without any hint of what happened reaching 
Doug or I. If the latter happens to anybody, please just send me mail 
and I'll try again to fix this and can relay your message to the list.
