Yes, keeping in mind that this strawman simply doesn't address CLDC
in its current form.

I should say a few words about this. When JSR-121 was launched there was a
need for secure and easily usable web space, mailing lists and configuration
control for the use of the expert group.

But this simply wasn't available from one place so we ended up with web space
from a personal domain, mail list support from Doug Lea's university and CVS
support from U. of Utah (for maintaining our process documents, example
code, etc, but not RI code).

Since then lots of alternatives have sprung up but it appears that java.net
provides everything needed in one spot and might provide both a means of
cutting down on personal overhead and enabling more general access by the
expert group in the future, and, if possible, visibility beyond the expert
group.

We have to consider the java.net terms of participation (
http://java.net/terms.csp). I haven't formally broached use of java.net with
either the expert group or my management yet, I'm just gathering up
possibilities. So whether and how these resources can be used just isn't clear
yet but it's exciting and encouraging to see at least one existing Sun JSR
exploring this already.

Best wishes,
Pete
